Overview

Hi, this is homepage to my little business, Fancy Planks! It’s just me, Sarah, working away to turn scruffy bits of wood into fancy planks and have fun creating nice things out of them. Sometimes I use hardwood timber from a local timber merchant and sometimes I use scraps left over from other projects, such as building work or those odd bits you keep in the shed because they might be useful one day!

Quality

I am a perfectionist, so I take my time to make sure that whatever planks I’m using, the final product is beautifully crafted, high quality, long-lasting, and very fancy!

Products

I mostly make household accessories, such as stools, chopping boards, cooking utensils, and fun things like clocks and dice. Sometimes I’m more adventurous and make small pieces of furniture, like coffee tables or bedside tables too. Check out my ‘Products‘ pages to see more details and photos.

Local

Fancy Planks is an independent local business, based in Beeston in the outskirts of Nottingham, making unique wooden products to supply direct from me, Sarah, the maker, to the people of the East Midlands. I aim to support other local businesses in sourcing sustainable timber for creating my Fancy Planks projects.
